About Katy

I qualified as an ‘Exercise to Music’ Instructor in 1995 and taught  a wide range of classes in various local gyms.   Being passionate about exercise and its benefits, I continued exercising during my pregnancy and after the birth of my daughter in 2005.  I was surprised and disappointed by the shortage of local exercise classes specifically for pregnant and postnatal women at that time, and developed an enthusiasm to specialise in teaching these groups.

I have since trained and qualified as a Postnatal Exercise Teacher and an Antenatal Exercise Teacher through the Guild of Pregnancy and Postnatal Exercise Teachers (course content accredited by the Royal College of Midwives).  I have been teaching Mums, Tums & Bums postnatal exercise since February 2007 and bumpercise antenatal exercise since February 2008, taking a break following the birth of my second daughter in 2009. More recently I have launched a Mums & babies indoor pram workout class which is going really well.

I truly love teaching my classes and meeting and working with so many lovely women.  Supporting them to feel stronger and more comfortable during their pregnancy and cope with birth and being a new mum is the most rewarding job you could have.  Having so many gorgeous babies in my mums and babies class is also amazing!
